Ringgold Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast tickets go on sale

Tickets for the Kiwanis Club of Ringgold annual Pancake Breakfast fundraiser to support its many charitable projects in the community are now available.

The breakfast is Saturday, May 24 from 7-11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Ringgold.

1890's Day Beauty Pageant

This year's Master of Ceremonies will again be Jason Walker of 96.5 "The Mountain".  Special guests include Miss Tennessee 2006 Blaire Pancake.

The pageant is Friday, May 23, 2008, at the Historic Ringgold Depot at 7:00 p.m. It will be held on the Ringgold Telephone Company Stage inside the Western- Atlantic Depot.  The age groups are: For Boys and Girls 0-11 months, 12-23 months, 24-35 months, 3-4 years old 5-6 years old; and Girls 7-9 years old, 10-12 years old, 13-15 years old and 16-19 years old.

Where: Along the nostalgic Dixie Highway, the "granddaddy of I-75", which stretches 90 miles in northwest Georgia from Marietta to Ringgold.

The Ringgold High School Wrestling Team is raising funds by selling Community Discount Cards.  The Discount Cards are $10 and are now available from team members and members of the Takedown Club.   Discounts are given on many area restaurants and businesses.

Spaghetti Dinner for Flag Fund

Visitor Center now open in Depot

New Weather Alert Testing Schedule

 On the first Wednesday of each month Catoosa County 911 tested the Weather Alert Siren located at Catoosa County Fire and Rescue Station 1.Due to the location of the new siren on the campus of Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School the test will be rescheduled.  Beginning April 5, 2008, the test for the Weather Alert Siren will be conducted on the first Saturday of each month depending upon the weather.  Should inclement weather occur, the test will be rescheduled for the following Saturday.  Should inclement weather occur on that particular day, the test will be put off until the following month

Sensational Second Weekends 2008
